- Payment information: payments are processed through secure payment gateways; your card details are never stored on our servers.
- Self-assessment test results: if you take one of the psychology self-assessment tests on the site, your answers and calculated score are saved to your account.
- Reviews and ratings: the comment and star rating you submit about a consultant after a session ends.
- Cookies and analytics: we may use cookies and tools such as Google Analytics, which only collect anonymous information about your browser and how you use the site.
2. Sessions Are Never Recorded
Consultation sessions take place directly between you and your consultant, through your chosen communication method (such as Google Meet or a phone call), and COUNSELINIC does not record, store, or monitor the content of these sessions in any way. Confidentiality of the conversation is governed by the policies of that communication tool itself.
3. How We Use Information
Your information is used solely to manage your account, coordinate and hold sessions, process payments, improve the platform, and send necessary emails (such as booking confirmations, session reminders, or password resets). Your information is never sold or rented to third parties for advertising purposes.
4. Sharing Information With Consultants
When you make a booking, your name and the contact address relevant to your chosen communication method are shared with that specific consultant so they can coordinate and hold the session. This information is never shared with any other consultant or third party outside of that booking.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information on secure servers. That said, you are responsible for keeping your password and account login details confidential at all times; COUNSELINIC is not liable for any damage resulting from another person accessing your account, whether or not you were aware of it.
