Using COUNSELINIC's services means you accept the following terms and conditions. Please read this page carefully before registering or booking a session.
1. Registration and Membership
- Minimum age: you must be at least 18 years old to register for and use COUNSELINIC's services. Use by anyone under 18 is only permitted with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
- One account per user: holding multiple accounts at the same time, or transferring your account to someone else, is not permitted.
- Changes to these terms: COUNSELINIC may change these terms at any time; you will be notified by email of any significant changes.
2. Nature of the Service
COUNSELINIC is an intermediary platform that connects users with independent consultants across a range of fields, including medical, psychological, legal, business, and educational. Each consultant's profile is reviewed by our team before activation; however, the accuracy of a consultant's credentials, professional licenses, and the quality of advice given remain the consultant's own responsibility.
3. Booking and Cancelling Sessions
- Sessions can only be booked through the site's online booking system.
- You may also book a session as a guest, without registering, by simply providing your name and email.
- To cancel a session — whether you are a registered user or booked as a guest — you must notify us of your cancellation request at least 48 hours before the start time of the session through our Contact Us form.
- If you cancel a session while respecting this 48-hour notice period, your payment will not be refunded in cash; instead, the same amount will be credited to your wallet on the site, valid for one month from the date of cancellation.
- Cancellation requests submitted less than 48 hours before the session start time cannot be accepted; in that case, neither a refund nor a wallet credit will be issued.
- If a session is cancelled by the consultant or by the COUNSELINIC platform, the amount you paid will be credited to your wallet; this credit has no expiration date and can be used at any time.
4. Holding the Session
The duration of each session is specified on that consultant's profile and may vary between consultants. Sessions are held through whichever communication method you select at booking time (such as Google Meet, WhatsApp video, or a phone call); ensuring you have the necessary technical setup — a working device, camera, microphone, and internet connection — is your responsibility.
5. Appropriate Conduct
You are required to treat consultants respectfully during consultation sessions. Any inappropriate or abusive behavior may result in your account being blocked.
6. Self-Assessment Tests
The results of the psychology self-assessment tests on the site are only a preliminary screening tool and are not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment by a professional.
7. Emergencies
COUNSELINIC is an online consultation platform and is not suitable for emergencies such as a serious risk to life or health, an acute mental health crisis, or any other urgent situation. In such cases, please immediately contact the emergency services in your country of residence or go to the nearest medical facility. COUNSELINIC accepts no responsibility for use of this platform's services in emergency situations.
8. Payments
The cost of each session is calculated based on the rate listed on the consultant's profile and must be paid before the session through the secure payment gateways available on the site. Refunds are handled according to the "Booking and Cancelling Sessions" section above.
9. Responsibilities
The content of consultation sessions between you and your consultant remains confidential, except where you file a complaint and consent to having your case reviewed. COUNSELINIC works to provide services on an ongoing basis, but accepts no responsibility for technical outages or unintended service disruptions.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, design, logos, and trademarks on the COUNSELINIC site belong to this platform, and any use of them without written permission is prohibited.
11. Changes to These Terms
These terms and conditions may be updated in the future. Continued use of the site after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
